Elliot graduated in 2022 when he joined the Fibonacci Quartet, one of Europe’s leading string quartets.

Among their many awards they recently won the prestigious Borciani International String Quartet Competition and are members of the Young Classical Artist Trust (YCAT).

'I feel incredibly fortunate to have studied at the Royal Welsh College. This place prepared me brilliantly for the profession, especially through the chamber music opportunities, where I developed my love for quartet playing. The College really helped me discover what I can bring to music.

There’s something really special about RWCMD. The working environment, amazing teachers, masses of opportunities, and you can’t find facilities like this anywhere else. When I graduated, I had a well-rounded view of music and a new confidence in my playing, something the College definitely nurtures.

I joined the Fibonacci Quartet, which has now become my full-time job—something I never imagined would be possible, as it's rare to have the privilege to do that.'

The Fibonacci Quartet is now one of the College’s two Quartet’s in Residence, an innovative program placing these world-class string quartets at the heart of the College’s community, and aiming to influence the future of string playing across Wales and beyond.

'It is now such a privilege to give back to the College’s chamber music programme with my quartet.

We are so excited to collaborate and perform with the students, and to build meaningful connections with both the College and the wider community.’
