Biography

Biddy trained at The Elmhurst Ballet School and RADA. After her acting career, she returned to study both at RADA, to complete an MA in Text and Performance and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, to complete a Post Graduate Certificate in Performance Art Teaching in Higher Education, where she was awarded a Fellowship with the Higher Education Academy.

Biddy has studied with Professor Andrei Malaev- Babel, who translated the works of Nikolai Demidov and with Carol Rosenfeld, HB Studios New York, the methods of Uta Hagen.

Expertise

Biddy has performed with many companies including The Mercury Theatre Company The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Wrestling School, and Actors from the London Stage (US) and has TV credits with Kudos, Channel 4, BBC, Sky and Shed Productions.

Before joining RWCMD, Biddy taught as an Associate Lecturer at The Guildford School of Acting and as a Lecturer at The East 15 Acting School. Her directing credits include, Tis Pity She’s a Whore, The Duchess of Malfi, Hamlet, Macbeth, Julia Caesar, Richard III, Henry VI iii, Blood Wedding, The American Clock, Oleanna, Closer, and The Three Sisters.

As an actor trainer Biddy feels it is a priority that her students are working in a safe space, where they feel empowered to explore with respect, play and self-expression, daring to fail with the discipline and determination to try again. This safe space is where the relationship between the personal and the actor/artist begins. Biddy strives for excellence in the hope that her students at RWCMD will be great innovators of stage and film and consequently valuable citizens of the world.
