Biography

Krystal S. Lowe is a Bermudian, Wales-based dancer, choreographer, writer, and director performing and creating dance theatre works for stage, public space, and film that explore themes of intersectional identity, wellbeing, and empowerment to challenge herself and audiences toward introspection and social change. She's passionate about integrating access and exploring multilingual work focused on British Sign Language, Welsh, and English.

Notable achievements

Krystal has had an extensive career performing with Ballet Cymru touring throughout the United Kingdom, China and Bermuda; with Citrus Arts circus company, Ransack Dance, Theatr Iolo, Theatr Cymru, Fran Wen, and Arad Goch. As a freelance, self-producing artist she has performed in the National Gallery for 'HOME zero' created by: Love Ssega, commissioned by Nesta and National Gallery X; commissioned by Music Theatre Wales to create an Opera for Screen ‘Somehow’; and toured her work Remarkable Rhythm to Polka Theatre, London and Zamek Culture Centre, Poland. As choreographer Krystal has worked with Welsh National Opera, Sherman Theatre, Ballet Cymru, Arad Goch, Theatr Cymru, Wales Millenium Centre, and has been supported for the past 8 years by Arts Council Wales for her self-produced work.
