Open RWCMD
Through performances, creative projects, workshops and partnerships, Open RWCMD brings together the College’s public programme, community engagement and work with young people to create more opportunities to take part in, experience and develop talent in the performing arts.
Widening access to the arts
Working with partners across Wales, Open RWCMD aims to widen access to creative experiences, support the next generation of artists and technicians, and strengthen Wales’s cultural life.
Open RWCMD brings together the College’s public performance programme, community engagement and work with young people to help:
- open up opportunities in music, drama and production arts
- support talented young people to develop their skills
- connect local activity with clear progression routes into professional training
- strengthen the future of the arts and creative industries in Wales
Building on partnerships across Wales
Open RWCMD builds on the important work already happening across Wales. Schools, music services, youth arts organisations and national companies are already supporting young people’s creative development and making the arts accessible to diverse groups. Collaboration is at the heart of the initiative. Together we are developing opportunities to take part in workshops, performances, discovery days and training experiences across Wales.
