Public and community engagement

At the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, our vision is to change lives and bring people together through art and music.

Building stronger relationships with communities across Wales is central to the work we do. Drawing on the talents and creativity of our students, we’re always developing new projects with a wide range of community partners.

We want to celebrate all the ways that we’re different and create an environment where everyone can thrive. We’re also keen to learn more about the barriers to studying or attending live performances – and how we can work to remove them.

There are so many ways for communities to experience all that RWCMD has to offer.

Campus visits

Community groups can book a guided tour explore our campus and get a behind-the-scenes look at a life at music and drama conservatoire. We also support potential students and educational organisations to make RWCMD a place of study, supporting prospective students from underrepresented backgrounds to find their place here at the College.

To request a tour, please get in touch with our Communities Engagement Partner, Guy O'Donnell.

A selection of our community projects and residencies

Several of these opportunities form part of our Woolcott Residency Programme, which are made possible by the generous support of the Anthony G Woolcott Charitable Trust.
