Our state-of-the-art concert hall and theatres are hired for music competitions, orchestral concerts, opera recitals, drama performances and musical theatre shows, produced by companies such as BBC Young Musician, BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, Only Boys Aloud, Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru and Kinetic.
Each year, we also host summer schools such as The Aloud Charity and the National UK Jazz Summer School.
Our world-class Dora Stoutzker Hall (400-seats), with its excellent acoustics, is the only purpose-built chamber recital hall in Wales. Lined with golden timber and an upper balcony, the hall wraps the audience around the performers, creating a shared intimate experience for musicians and audiences alike.
The Richard Burton Theatre (180 seats) is named after one of Wales’ greatest actors. Its deep violet interior melts away to leave the audience focussed on the performance. Boasting state-of-the-art facilities including a fly tower, its contemporary horse-shoe design ensures the closest possible relationship between audience and performers.
These venues sit alongside the black box Bute Theatre (200 seats) and a suite of light-filled rehearsal studios and practice rooms with Steinway pianos.
You’ll be supported by our production team, giving you the highest standards of professional planning, experienced technical support and welcoming customer care. Publicity and ticketing packages can also be arranged and our friendly front of house staff will welcome your audiences and participants into our stunning glass atrium foyer, café and bar and open-air terrace overlooking the beautiful Grade I listed Bute Park – they will be in the best company...
