Frankie Carlin is a freelance stage manager and floor manager for the BBC Music and Entertainment departments. A graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, she has maintained a strong passion for live theatre and the creative arts throughout her career.
She works across a range of high-profile television and live events, alongside her roles in lecturing and production supervision, where she enjoys sharing her industry experience with the next generation of stage managers.
Frankie specialises in stage management and live broadcast floor management, working across music, entertainment and large-scale live events. Her work spans studio productions and major outdoor performances, often in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Alongside her professional practice, she teaches and supervises productions in higher education, supporting students to develop practical, industry-ready stage management skills.
Frankie has worked on a wide range of major BBC productions, including BBC Cardiff Singer of the World and BBC Young Musician. Her live music credits include Gregory Porter at Christmas, Stereophonics, and Tom Jones at the Principality Stadium.
She was the floor manager for the King’s visit to Llandaff Cathedral following the death of the Queen.
Her wider broadcast and live event work includes the Welsh BAFTAs, as well as numerous events at the Wales Millennium Centre and St David’s Hall.
