Ceri James

Ceri James is a lighting and video designer based in Wales, working across theatre, opera, dance and live performance. He has designed for a wide range of productions and companies, including Theatr Cymru, National Theatre Wales, National Dance Company Wales, Welsh National Opera, Fondazione Haydn di Bolzano e Trento, Independent Opera at Sadler’s Wells, Punchdrunk, Hijinx Theatre, Sherman Theatre, Torch Theatre, Theatr na nÓg, Theatr Clwyd, Storyhouse Theatre Chester, Derby Theatres, Leicester Haymarket Theatre, Grand Ambition and Theatre Fran Wen.

He has also designed national touring theatre productions for RGM Productions at the Vaudeville Theatre and Sydney Opera House, and for Royal & Derngate, Northampton, on a UK tour (Fiery Angel), as well as Birmingham Stage Company.

Ceri is a founding member of Mappa Mundi Theatre Company.
