Originally from Swansea, Alice trained as an actor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. She worked professionally in theatre, television and radio for over a decade before completing the prestigious MA Voice Studies course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating with Distinction.
Alice is passionate about empowering students in their acting work through voice practice. She has a particular interest in teaching from an intersectional feminist perspective to allow for greater access and inclusivity within voice training.
Before joining RWCMD, Alice worked extensively as a freelance voice, speech, text and dialect coach at many of the UK’s leading actor training institutions, including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and Rose Bruford College.
She also works regularly as a voice and dialect coach for professional productions and actors. Recent work includes productions at the National Theatre, Wales Millennium Centre, Almeida, Trafalgar Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland, and with Channel 4/Clerkenwell Films. Alice is a regular course tutor for West Glamorgan Youth Theatre Company and has also been a mentor and workshop facilitator for Open Door.
