Opportunities for Academic Roles: Music (Academic)
We are seeking to increase our pool of academic practitioners in key areas within the Music department.
Employing visiting professionals ensures our courses remain informed by latest industry practice and that our students experience working with a variety of different practitioners.
Our suite of Music courses includes undergraduate and postgraduate training across all instrumental and vocal departments, jazz and composition, and embraces a highly collaborative ethos across all musical disciplines and with the Drama department.
We are seeking practitioners for activities within the following areas:
• Composition (including electronic music)
• Online mentoring (individually and in group sessions) of 1:1 teachers of piano, voice, violin, drumkit & guitar who work with children aged 3-12.
Please note, this does not include instrumental and vocal tutors
If successful you may be offered a contract as an Hourly Paid Lecturer. The College will not be able to guarantee to provide you with a minimum or a maximum number of hours and there will be no obligation for the College to offer work to you. Similarly, if you are offered work by the College there will be no obligation for you to accept this work.
We are committed to creating a workforce that is representative of society. Currently, people from ethnically diverse communities, those who self-identify as disabled, neurodiverse and transgender, and Welsh speaking individuals are under-represented, so we are keen to hear from candidates from these under-represented groups.
If you are interested in working with us, please email a CV and a covering letter specifying your area of interest/expertise to lorna.hooper@rwcmd.ac.uk
