Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama works closely with the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales to give students real experience of the music industry while they study. Together, we help train the next generation of musicians, performers and arts professionals, while also opening up more opportunities for people across Wales to experience and take part in music.

We are proud to work in partnership with the National Music Service Wales to help more young people across Wales discover, develop and share their musical talent.  Together, we are connecting local music opportunities with world-class training, helping young musicians build confidence, develop their skills and see clear pathways for the future. 

We offer an exciting range of tours, talks, workshops, creative projects and exhibitions for secondary schools and colleges – all aimed at getting students inspired by art and music. We also provide education resources for teachers featuring interviews with some of the cast and creative team from our recent productions.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year: the 30-piece Down for the Count Swing Orchestra returns with its much-loved annual seasonal treat, Swing Into Christmas !
