Research at RWCMD
At the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, we have a vibrant research culture spanning music, drama, design for performance, and stage management.
Groundbreaking research with creativity at its core
Our researchers are engaged in cutting-edge work in a range of disciplines, drawing on practice-based methodologies as well as more theoretical approaches.
Much of our research activity is closely connected to our public-facing creative programme which includes over 500 events each year and takes place across the College's industry-standard performance and rehearsal spaces.
Our latest research
Current RWCMD research projects include new work on:
- music composition and performance
- Welsh music
