Theatre Design: Double Linbury Prize win for RWCMD
The Design for Performance department is celebrating its continuing winning streak with a double win at this year’s prestigious Linbury Prize.
Graduates TK Hay and Rose Revitt have been awarded two of the four commissions.
The College also represented half of this year’s finalists, with six of the twelve graduates working with the four production companies.
TK will now design An Adventure for Octagon Theatre, Bolton, having competed against fellow RWCMD grad Aline Jeffery. Rose will be designing Dr Korczak’s Example for Leeds Playhouse, where she won against RWCMD graduates Debbie Duru and Elin Steele.
Harry Pizzey was a runner up with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

The biennial prize for Theatre Designers, the most important of its kind in the UK, provides emerging designers with the opportunity to work with professional theatre, dance and opera companies.
Their work will be exhibited at the National Theatre in December until April.
Previous finalists and winners of the biennial prize including Fin Redshaw, Jean Chan, Rhys Jarman, Tom Scutt, Madeleine Girling, Camilla Clarke, Crista Noel Smith, Jen McGinley Max Jones and Adam Wiltshire.
2017 finalist Emily Bates is now designing for Danish Royal Opera, just two years after leaving RWCMD.
