Croeso to our new 2023 music and drama RWCMD Associates

Congratulations to our 2023 RWCMD Associates. Each year the College awards recent music and drama graduates as Associates of the College, celebrating significant contributions to the arts and society early in their chosen career.

Welcome to our 2023 RWCMD Associates

From games sound designer to principal percussionist, from venue director to Cardiff Singer of the World finalist, this year's associates are wonderful examples of the distinctive excellence, bold thinking and ambition that reflects the College’s rigorous professional training.

'This craft and creative training empowers emerging new graduates to make a real difference as they step onto a global stage as collaborative and innovative artists, and active, responsible contributors to wider society.

We are proud of them all, and we celebrate their well-deserved success.’
Helena GauntRWCMD Principal

Our 2023 Associates include Cardiff Singer of the World finalist Jessica Robinson, jazz vocalist Hannah Grace, Welsh traditional composer and musician Patrick Rimes, actors Callum Scott Howells and Alexandria Riley, and sound designer Kina Miyamoto.

Patrick Rimes leading RWCMD students in a Welsh music medley at the College, celebrating the launch of the Sir Bryn Terfel Cronfa trust.

Mentoring the students

These awards build on the strong and ongoing relationship the College has with its graduates, with Associates visiting throughout the year to talk to and mentor current students.

Award-winning actor Callum Scott Howells, and musician and composer Patrick Rimes have already come back to share their experiences with students.
