Charlie Epps

Charlie Epps is a bass-baritone and second year master's student. Having attended Torquay Boys' Grammar School and performed in several musicals there, he was an Oxford Bach Soloists choral scholar and a scholar of the chapel choir of Lincoln College, Oxford. Last year, he was involved in productions of ‘Don Giovanni’, ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ and Handel's ‘La Resurrezione’. In addition to opera, he is also a devotee of art song in German and in French. He received the 2025 Eileen Price Lieder Prize for his first year recital, which included works by Franz Schubert, alongside Henri Duparc and Maurice Ravel. He plans to perform the iconic song cycle, ‘Winterreise’, in full this June. He is also playing the hapless butler of Hades, John Styx, in the RWCMD Spring Opera production of ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’
