The College’s main campus is situated on North Road in Cardiff, a short walk away from the main public transport routes. 
Buses 21, 23, 25, 27, 35 stop outside the College. There are National Express and Megabus stops close to the campus.
The nearest train station with step-free access is Cardiff Central station which is a 5-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk away. We have three accessible parking spaces outside the main entrance that can be used by anyone visiting the College who holds a valid blue badge. These cannot be reserved but there are additional pay and display car parks next to the College.

From the street, the path to the main entrance on North Road is flat and level. The main doors has an accessible entrance which you can open with the push button and is within reach for those who need it. The double doors are 170cm wide. The main entrance has level access to the box office.

The foyer area has no steps or uneven flooring leading up to it allowing for access to the Welcome Desk, Café Bar, lift and entrances to the Dora Stoutzker Hall and Richard Burton Theatre. To gain entry to the Bute Theatre, just head to the Welcome Desk to be let in through the secure entrance.

The wheelchairs spaces in the Richard Burton Theatre and Dora Stoutzker is can be accessed by lifts.
The Caird Studio is located on the third floor which can be reached by a lift that is not usually available to members of the public. To access the lift, please head to the Welcome Desk and a member of staff will help you.

All of our performance spaces are accessible by wheelchair. We have a limited number of dedicated wheelchair user and assistant/carer spaces; these can be booked over the telephone or in person at the Box Office. It is advisable that you inform Box Office at the time of
booking if you or any of your party have any access requirements.

Assistance and support dogs are welcome.

Glass doors and full-height windows have contrast markings. Some parts of the venue have low lighting. Our Café/Bar has digital screens with our catering menu in large print size.

We have a hearing loop at the Welcome Desk in our foyer and at the Café/Bar.
We have a Sennheiser hearing loop system in our Dora Stoutzker Concert Hall and Richard Burton Theatre. The headsets can be requested from the Welcome Desk.

Accessible toilets are located on the lower ground floor and are reached by the lift by the Welcome Desk.

All customer-facing staff have had disability awareness training as part of their induction.

<a href="http://www.hynt.co.uk/">Hynt</a> cardholders are entitled to a ticket free of charge (where possible) for a personal assistant or carer at RWCMD. You can visit the <a href="https://www.hynt.co.uk/en/">Hynt website</a> or contact the Box Office for more information.

Not all disabilities are visible – some are not immediately obvious, such as autism, chronic pain, dementia, anxiety, visual or hearing impairment. Living with a hidden disability can make daily life more demanding for many people, but it can be difficult for others to recognise, acknowledge or understand the challenges you face. Wearing the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower discreetly indicates to people around you (including RWCMD Staff) that you need additional support, help or a little more time.
