Biography
Alan studied at Chetham’s School of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
He was Principal Bass Trombone with orchestras in Germany and South Africa. He has also played in shows including Copacabana, Evita, Scrooge and Oliver! with big bands including Glenn Miller Orchestra, as well as other TV, radio, pop and session work.
Alan currently plays Prinicipal Bass Trombone with Welsh National Opera.
Expertise
Alan has played with brass bands including Black Dyke and Grimethorpe, as well bands ranging from jazz to pop, in addition to chamber music and solo performances.
Alan is proud being associated with and supported by Michael Rath Trombones.
