RWCMD Chamber Choir & members of I Fagiolini

Members of vocal ensemble ‘I Fagiolini’, described by the Spectator as ‘musical shapeshifters’, come together with the college’s Chamber choir in a programme with the sheer richness of sound at its heart. Benevoli’s four-choir masses, which throw sounds around the building and uses an outrageous contemporary technique known as 'holding the mule', is followed by Monteverdi, whose visceral emotions seem to contain the whole world in a few bars, and Carissimi with sounds that seize the listener centuries later. And to finish? Two widely acknowledged modern masterpieces from Joanna Marsh.
