Jamie Farrow

Year of graduation: 2025

Jamie studied at the University of Birmingham (graduating in Music with First Class Honours), prior to coming to RWCMD in September 2023.  He has performed with a variety of ensembles including Tenebrae and the CBSO chorus and is a former lay clerk of both Cathedrals in Birmingham. He was also a backing vocalist for Katherine Jenkins, performing live and recording several albums. In April 2025, Jamie created the first studio recording of William Mathias’ song cycle The Fields of Praise.

Jamie’s first operatic role was “Flute” in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at RWCMD in Summer 2024. This year, Jamie made his role debut as ‘Alfredo’ in Verdi’s La Traviata with both Duchy Opera and Park House Opera.

Jamie’s studies at RWCMD are supported by Help Musicians as a Sybil Tutton Opera Award Holder, and by the Starmer Jones Scholarship.
