Isobel Hughes

Isobel Hughes is a mezzo soprano from North London. After completing their undergraduate studies at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and their postgraduate studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, they are now in their final year of study at the David Seligman Opera School at the RWCMD. Their recent engagements include Hänsel in Hänsel Und Gretel (RWCMD), Sister Mathilde in Dialogues of the Carmelites (RWCMD), and Chorus in Cherry Town: Moscow (WNO Youth Opera).

Isobel is looking forward to singing the role of Rosina in Cardiff Opera’s upcoming production of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville this summer.

Isobel’s studies are generously supported by the HRH Prince of Wales Scholarship.
