Richard Newton

Richard leads the fundraising module on the general pathway of the course. With over 20 years’ experience as a fundraiser and manager in the charity sector, he founded Richard Newton Consulting in 2011, working with arts and heritage clients including Taking Flight Theatre, Swansea City Opera, Club Ifor Bach, Pontardawe Arts Centre, Pontio, Wales Millennium Centre, and Underfall Yard.

His previous roles include senior leadership positions at Rathbone and The Prince’s Trust, alongside senior fundraising roles at Barnardo’s and Marie Curie.

Across his career, Richard has raised more than £220 million for organisations of all sizes, from small charities to large-scale institutions.
