David Baxter

David is a freelance arts project manager, producer and consultant. He was previously General Manager of the Borough Theatre, where he led a major refurbishment and developed a mixed programme of professional and community work. He also established a countywide youth arts programme and a visual arts cluster. Earlier, as Head of Arts Active at St David’s Hall and the New Theatre in Cardiff, he led education and engagement work and founded the South-Central Arts and Education Network.

He currently works with Humans Move, Fio Theatre Company, Carmarthenshire Theatres and Liam Wallace Dance Theatre. With extensive experience across community and education arts, he has collaborated with organisations including Welfare State International, the Royal Court Theatre and LIFT, and has served on the boards of several community arts organisations.
