Biography
Llinos is the Sub Principal Bassoon and Contrabassoon with the Orchestra of the Welsh National Opera.
Llinos was raised in Pwllheli in North Wales, before attending Chetham's School of Music for 6th form, reading Music at Cambridge, and gaining a postgraduate degree from The Royal Academy of Music .
Before joining WNO in 2022, Llinos spent eight happy years as Sub Principal Bassoon and Contra with the Orchestra of Birmingham Royal Ballet, and as Principal Bassoon with the Northern Chamber Orchestra. She continues to work with various orchestras including as guest principal bassoon with The Royal Opera House, The Halle, Opera North, and BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
Expertise
As well as playing and teaching, Llinos is an ABRSM examiner and an adjudicator for prizes and Eisteddfodau. She spent five years training and competing with the GB Paralympic Kayaking Team, and is also a presenter on S4C's popular series Cynefin.
