Biography

Karen Thomas studied at the RWCMD. She worked for some years at the BBC as a full time Costume maker, before leaving to become freelance. She has worked for film, TV and theatre.

Expertise

Karen is a part time lecturer in Costume for Performance specialising in pattern cutting and costume construction. She has taught at RWCMD for over 30 years as well as teaching in schools and workshops in the UK and overseas.

Karen worked closely on the pattern cutting books written by Elizabeth Friendship
