Jonathan Dove composed his 'Figures in the Garden' in 1991 as part of Glyndebourne's Mozart bicentenary celebrations, to be played outdoors in true  harmoniemusik style as a prelude to performances of 'The Marriage of Figaro'. In this concert you'll hear snippets of Mozart's themes permeating this delightfully inventive work before being immersed in Mozart for real, in his great wind serenade in C minor.
