About
Some of the most promising undergraduate singers from UK conservatoires will compete for the accolade of becoming the first winner of the Sir Bryn Terfel Song Prize. One of the world’s most esteemed opera singers and RWCMD’s Vice President, Sir Bryn is passionate about his cultural heritage and the artistry of song. This competition aims to celebrate cultural and linguistic diversity with each competitor performing from the great canon of artsong, songs from their own heritage and a song in Welsh. Bryn will chair the international panel of expert judges from the world of vocal music and opera.
The Song Prize is supported by the Foundation that Sir Bryn Terfel has developed in partnership with the College.
