Bethan Elfyn presents Gwenno and Joe Webb Trio

Cardiff Music City Festival presents an evening of music curated and hosted by BBC broadcaster and music fan Bethan Elfyn.

Bethan Elfyn has spent a lifetime working with music in Wales on network and local radio, curating events, writing, hosting, Djing, producing and at the helm of music project Horizons.

Bethan is pleased to work on showcasing this Welsh talent double bill with Cardiff Music City at RWCMD.

The evening will host a solo performance by Gwenno, Welsh-Cornish musician, singer-songwriter, sound artist, and radio presenter celebrated for her multilingual work in Welsh, Cornish, and English. She has released four acclaimed solo albums: 'Y Dydd Olaf' (Welsh Music Prize), 'Le Kov, Tresor' (Mercury Prize shortlist), and 'Utopia', her English-language debut.

Joe Webb is a Welsh jazz pianist, composer and educator based in London. He leads the Joe Webb Trio, whose album ‘Hamstrings & Hurricanes’ (2024) was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. He has toured with Jamie Cullum and Jools
Holland, and earlier this year launched the album ‘Neath Beat’ at RWCMD's AmserJazzTime Festival.
