Hella Termeulen is a Dutch mezzo soprano, currently living and studying in Cardiff at the David Seligman opera school, with a RWCMD scholarship. She just finished her postgraduate degree with honours in London at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a student of Janice Chapman. Hella started singing with the Nederlandse Kinderkoor Academie (Dutch Children’s Choir Academy) with which she sang several opera’s and choral works and participated in international competitions. She was a member of the Academy for Young Talent in Utrecht, where she studied with Henny Diemer. In 2023 she was awarded her Bachelor of Music degree at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and the Conservatory of Amsterdam. (Scenes) roles include Idamante (Idomeneo), Olga (Onegin), Meg (Falstaff). Currently she is studying with Jeffrey Lloyd Roberts.
Hella’s studies at RWCMD are supported by a Leverhulme Arts Scholarship and the Girdlers' Company Charitable Trust Scholarship.
