Theatr Gerddorol

Students on the Musical Theatre Study Abroad Programme will be fully immersed in Musical Theatre degree training.

Modules

Each 13-week programme comprises 12 weeks of specialist tutoring including individual sessions and group classes, as well as an additional ‘Welcome Week’.

Please note: A total 120 UK credits are allocated across a year of study. The equivalent of 40 UK credits are available to a Study Abroad student who successfully completes a term of study at the College.

During your time here

Students will benefit from individual singing technique and repertoire sessions, and individual tutorials with the Head of Programme along with timetabled skills classes and projects:

  • Dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz and repertoire
  • Movement for actors
  • Spoken voice, speech, and dialect
  • Contextual and professional studies workshops and masterclasses
  • Projects in Shakespeare/Heightened Text and Acting for Film/TV
  • Group repertoire and singing technique sessions
  • Cabaret performances
  • Christmas concert with RWCMD musicians

English language requirements

Applicants who are non-native speakers of English are required to achieve IELTS 7.5 or equivalent, with no lower than 7.0 in listening and speaking and no lower than 6.0 in reading and writing.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for 2024/25 academic year are £8,500 per term.
