Fresh from the shadows of RWCMD’s acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd, this one-day workshop dives into the dramatic world of stage special effects makeup—where the gruesome meets the theatrical!
Perfect for aspiring makeup artists, designers, and horror-theatre fans alike, Stage FX: Blood, Bruise and Gore is a creative, practical session exploring how to safely and effectively create realistic wounds, bruises, scars and blood effects for live performance.
Participants will:
<ul>
 <li>Learn professional techniques for creating bruises, cuts, burns and blood FX</li>
 <li>Explore products and materials used in theatre (vs. film or TV)</li>
 <li>Understand how to adapt makeup for stage lighting and live audiences</li>
 <li>Practice safe application and removal methods</li>
 <li>Work with scripts and character briefs to create theatrical makeup looks</li>

Step into the spotlight – or learn how to create one! Our Introduction to Theatre Lighting workshop is the perfect hands-on experience for young people who are curious about what happens behind the scenes in a theatre.
