Welsh Soprano Maisie Rae O’Shea is currently studying vocal performance, alongside directing the vocal octet, Solstice. With broad musical interests, Maisie has recorded new and forgotten works as a soloist with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, performed newly published works in collaboration with the Holst Society, and has recently created a new operatic role at Atmospheres Festival. Maisie is passionate about early music, and often performs with various baroque ensembles.
Recent engagements: Zerlina Don Giovanni, Soprano Soloist in Bach B Minor Mass and Rossini Petite Messe Solennelle.
Maisie’s Studies are generously supported by the James Pantyfedwen Trust, Brecon Girls Grammar School Trust, and an RWCMD Scholarship.
