Biography

Anna Menzies performs across the UK and Europe as soloist, recitalist and chamber musician. A member of the Gildas Quartet, she appears regularly at international festivals, on BBC Radio and at venues including the Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall and Wigmore Hall. Her interests span from early to contemporary music and she enjoys regular collaborations with composers, most recently working with Colin Matthews, Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Cheryl Frances-Hoad and Philip Cashian.

Expertise

Anna has over a decade of experience working with talented young cellists and taught at the Yehudi Menuhin School and Chetham’s School of Music for several years before joining the staff at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2017.
