“Simply heavenly playing” is how The Guardian described the artistry of Llŷr Williams, and in this fourth instalment of Williams’s journey into the musical imagination of Haydn, Schumann and their contemporaries, a slice of heaven is exactly what you can expect. Haydn and Schumann bare their souls, Mozart weaves delicate poetry and it all ends with the drama of the tempestuous Symphonic Etudes.
