MA Opera Performance
Entry Requirements
Entry is by audition and candidates should be able to
demonstrate a level of performance ability appropriate for
professional training. Minimum entry requirements usually
include a 2:1 degree in music or an equivalent qualification,
although the college is able to consider applications from people
without formal qualifications if they have an exceptional level of
ability, practical experience, and a good understanding of the
opera profession.
Applicants for whom English is not a first language are required to
demonstrate a level of fluency equivalent to an overall score of
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (with
at least 5.5 in reading and writing and at least 5.0
in listening and speaking).
Applicants who have scored within IELTS
0.5 of the minimum requirements will be required to
complete the pre-sessional English
language course.
