Sunday 6 May 4.30pm
A performance of two pieces,
each exploring the capabilities of two very different instruments.
Bai-on explores the microtonal possibilities of the Koto (Japanese
Harp) supported by the striking sounds of the natural horn and
cello. Flute Concerto explores the incredible versatility of the
flute as it soars above an ethereal accompaniment.
16 contiguous variations
take the piano on a monumental journey through vibrant soundscapes
and striking gestures. Expect colour, energy, life, discovery,
transformation, transfiguration, beauty, and brutal honesty from an
intensely personal exploration in music.
