Dreams And Dances: Royal Welsh College Wind Orchestra

Wednesday 28 February 1.15pm

Royal Welsh College Wind Orchestra
Nicholas Carpenter conductor

Paris between the wars was the world’s most swinging city. This lunchtime, the Royal Welsh College foxtrots down the Champs Elysées with Darius Milhaud’s jazz ballet La Création du monde – music, he said, that “presses out the juice of dreams”. A sultry showpiece for sax and a musical Tour de France make this a concert with an unmistakable je ne sais quoi.
