Tina Gelnere - Mezzo Soprano
Latvian mezzo-soprano Tina Gelnere is currently studying at the
David Seligman Opera School at RWCMD with Anne Mason. Comfortable
on both the operatic stage and the concert platform, Tina has
enjoyed performing internationally throughout the United Kingdom
and Europe including: Latvian National Opera, Riga Cathedral,
Latvian Society House, Chichester Cathedral, Agios Petros
Recent operatic roles include Conversa and Seconda Cercatrice
(Suor Angelica) with Minotaur Opera. At University of
Chichester, Tina enjoyed performing a number of roles, especially
Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro).
Tina has performed Meg (Falstaff), Dorothée
(Cendrillon), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and
Secretary (The Consul) in opera scenes at RWCMD.
At AIMS she performed Tisbe (La Cenerentola) and Third
Witch (Macbeth) as operatic excerpts.
Tina also performs as a duo with Soprano Freya Holliman.
Tina has taken part in courses with British Youth Opera,
Melofonetica, Jackdaws and Morley College.
