Freya Holliman

Freya Holliman - Soprano

Scottish soprano Freya Holliman is in her first year of study at the David Seligman Opera School where she studies with Anne Mason. She has a Master’s degree from the RNCM and an undergraduate degree in French and Music from University of Glasgow.

Operatic roles have included Pamina and Zweite Dame, Die Zauberflöte (Fife Opera, RNCM), and the title role in Dido and Aeneas (Edinburgh Studio Opera). In November 2018, she was a soloist for the annual RWCMD Opera Gala with the Orchestra of WNO. In 2019 her roles will include Lady Billows in Britten’s Albert Herring (RWCMD) and Foreign Woman in Welsh National Opera’s production of The Consul.

As a concert soloist, she has sung in prestigious venues in the United Kingdom and in Europe including: Bridgewater Hall, Manchester; Beverley Minster; St Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna and Slovak Radio Hall, Bratislava.

Freya also performs as a duo with Mezzo Soprano Tina Gelnere.

She enjoys exploring contemporary song and operatic repertoire and has premiered works for the "Performing the Jewish Archive" project. Last year, she performed at Wigmore Hall as part of a celebration of the work of British composer, Tansy Davies.
