How to Make a Payment - EU & International Students

There are several ways in which international students can pay for course deposits, tuition fees, audition fees and pre-sessional language course fees.

Payment by international wire transfer (payments in your own currency)

The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama has partnered with Western Union to allow students the opportunity to securely send international wire transfers for payment of tuition fees in their local currency.

The process is simple in that once the application form has been completed, Western Union will provide you with an instant quote for the cost of your fees in your local currency and this quotation is guaranteed for 72 hours. Once you agree to the offer, you will then be required to instruct your own bank (this can be done electronically) to transfer funds in your local currency to Western Union. Western Union will then forward a sterling payment on to the college.

As the transfer is initiated in your local currency there are no expensive international bank charges.

In order to take advantage of this excellent opportunity, you will be required to complete this Online Application Form which requires you to provide your student ID number (if you do not know this please contact Admissions), date of birth, etc.

Western Union will send you a confirmation email once the payment is settled.

Payment by credit / UK debit card

We accept all major credit / debit cards except for American Express, JCB and Diners cards.

For high value transactions, particularly those drawn on overseas cards, it is strongly recommended that you contact your bank or credit card issuer to advise them you are intending to process a high value transaction for the payment of fees. This will avoid delays in your transaction being processed.

Payments can be made between the hours of 10am and 4pm (UK Time) by calling +44 (29) 2039 1338

Payment by cheque (including foreign currency, banker’s draft and traveller’s cheque)

Please ensure that you include both your student ID number and student name on the back of each cheque so that we can credit the payment to the correct account.

All cheques should be made payable to the ‘RWCMD Ltd’ and sent to:

RWCMD, Finance Office, Castle Grounds, Cathays Park Cardiff, CF10 3ER

Please note that if you do have to pay with a US dollar or a Euro cheque then we will use the actual sterling amount received once the cheque has cleared our bank account.

Payment by cash

It is unnecessary to withdraw large sums of cash from any bank to pay for your fees and it is highly recommended that you transfer the money by other means to avoid the risk of personal loss. If it is essential to pay by cash then this must be paid in person at the Finance Office. On no account should cash be sent through the post.
