Marilyn Le Conte

Marilyn studied Drama and French at Hull University, where she was President of the Dramatic Society, graduating in 1971. She has nearly 50 years of experience as an actress in rep, TV, radio, film, voice over, and corporate training.

A respected educator, Marilyn is an expert in radio acting. She has taught at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama for 32 years where she has coached many winners of the BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award. She teaches acting and sight reading and directs acting projects across all acting courses and specialises in student recruitment in the UK and the USA.

She is the co-editor of three radio audition guides, ‘Radioactive’, published by Methuen/A & C Black and is planning the fourth and fifth volumes of the series and is in collaboration on a new collection of classical monologues.

In a freelance capacity, Marilyn provides training courses in acting and presentation skills for actors and business professionals. She works as a dialect coach in theatre, TV, film, radio, opera, business and education.
