Late in life, Johannes Brahms fell in love with the sound of the clarinet – putting its sweet, expressive voice at the heart of some of his most ravishing (and personal) music. Following his acclaimed explorations of Chopin and Schubert, virtuoso pianist and RWCMD artist-in-association Llyr Williams now turns to Brahms’s very different kind of poetry – enlisting two musical friends to help him tell the story.
