Landscapes have always been central to Diana Burrell’s inspiration, including her dramatic Archangel for wind orchestra. We open with a sensorial evocation of a coastal landscape by Ruth Gipps and close with Stravinsky’s experimental work, exploring the meaning of 'Symphonies' in its oldest connotation. A fascinating ‘sounding together’ of wind instruments of all kinds.
