Eiry trained at Rose Bruford College. She is Welsh-speaking and has been working as an actress professionally for over thirty years, starting as a teenager with Welsh National Opera. She has since worked extensively in theatre, television, radio and film throughout the UK and won two BAFTA Cymru Best Actress awards, in 2002 and 2009 respectively. She is a founder member of Theatr Pena. Her recent work includes Gwyneth Lewis's Clytemnestra for Sherman Cymru, Ruth Jones' Stella for Sky and a regular role in Teulu for S4C. She has just finished working on a feature film (Delight) in West Wales. Eiry also has experience of working with young people and children in schools.
