The library currently holds around 50,000 items covering a wide
range of material in various formats. These include books,
playscripts, journals, performance scores, orchestral sets,
audio/visual material and newspapers, providing support for the
academic and performance needs of individuals and groups.

The Library houses 9 workstations in open access areas close to
the reference area, providing word-processing, spreadsheet and
Power-Point packages as well as access to the Internet and e-mail.
There is also a networked Laser printer adjacent to the library
entrance. New students are allocated 100 sheets at the start of
each academic year and the charge thereafter is 4p per printed
sheet.
In addition there are 3 dedicated PCs for accessing the Library
Online Catalogue (OPAC). These may be found near to the Audio /
Visual collection.

There are CD players, record players, cassette players,
mini-disc players, televisions, video recorders and DVD players
available for use within the Library. Most recordings may be
borrowed on overnight loan by students and staff of the
College.
Specialist Resource Room
The Specialist Resource Room within the Library houses
workstations with software packages to aid dyslexic students and
other students with particular needs. It is used each Wednesday
during term time, between 12:00 and 14:00, as a drop-in facility
for students with dyslexia, literacy or other difficulties. This is
staffed by Cardiff University Dyslexia and Disability Service. A
range of assistive technology is available in this room.
