Master of Music (MMus)
Entry Requirements
Typical minimum entry requirements include a 2:1 degree in
music with a considerable practical or creative component.
Candidates who have a degree but not in music need to have
significant practical diploma in music.
Instrumental and vocal candidates are required to attend an
audition at which they are expected to demonstrate that they are of
a satisfactory standard for entry. Composition and creative music
technology candidates will be required to attend an interview to
discuss their previously submitted work.
For international students recognised equivalent qualifications
are accepted.
Students for whom English is not a first language are required
to demonstrate a level of fluency equivalent to IELTS 7.0 (with at
least 6.5 in the written component), or TOEFL 600 (250 computer or
100 IBT).
