MA Music Performance
Entry Requirements
Entry is by audition. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a
level of performance and professional potential appropriate to
advanced conservatoire training.
Typical minimum entry requirements also include a
2:1 degree in music with a considerable practical or creative
component.
Candidates who have a degree in another subject should have a
significant recognised practical diploma in music.
For international students recognised equivalent qualifications
are accepted.
Applicants for whom English is not a first language are required
to demonstrate a level of fluency equivalent to an overall score of
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (with at least 5.5 in
reading and writing and at least 5.0 in listening and
speaking).
Applicants who have scored within IELTS
0.5 of the minimum requirements will be required to
complete the pre-sessional English
language course.
