MA Acting for Stage, Screen & Radio Course
Fees and Funding
UK and EU Students
Subject to approval by the Board of Directors, the programme
fee for students from the UK and other EU countries on the MA
Acting for Stage, Screen & Radio programme beginning in
September 2011 will be £8,200.
Local authorities do not usually provide financial support for
students on postgraduate courses. You may be able to apply for
financial assistance from a variety of educational charities and
trusts, although these are generally very competitive. For further
information, contact the Educational Grants Advisory Service, or
obtain a copy of the Education Grants Directory, published by the
Directory of Social Change.
Professional and Career Development Loans are bank loans that
can be used to help pay for work related learning. You can
borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to
two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year’s
relevant unpaid practical work). The Young People’s Learning
Agency will pay the interest on the loan while you are learning and
for one month afterwards. The loan can be used to pay course
fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. For
further information on financial assistance to support your
learning, visit www.direct.gov.uk/adultlearning
or contact Careers Advice on 0800 100 900.
International Students
The programme fee for students starting in September 2011
from outside the European Union on the MA Acting for Stage, Screen
& Radio programme is £16,350.
You will automatically be considered for a scholarship when you
submit your application. Partial tuition scholarships are available
and are awarded by RWCMD based on merit following auditions.
UK authorities are unable to provide financial support for
students from outside the European Union. We recommend that you
contact the Ministry of Education or Education Department in your
own country for details of scholarship opportunities for students
wishing to study overseas. You can also contact your nearest
British Council office
which will have details of British scholarship schemes. The UK
Council for International Education also provides advice on finance
as well as visas and immigration on its website at www.ukcosa.org
