YAS Acting Courses
Young Actors Studio provides the only training of its kind in
Wales for people aged 16-19 who are considering applying to drama
school after leaving school. The Young Actors Studio Acting Courses
provide a taste of some of the key features of the professional
actor training delivered by top drama schools including acting,
voice and movement skills as well as audition technique.
Acting Courses run on Sundays from 10am to 4pm for 10 weeks per
academic term (30 weeks per year). Entry is by audition only. We
are looking for young people with a “raw” or “natural” talent so
previous experience is not essential.
There are still a limited number of places available on our Act
I Acting Course – please return your application form as
soon as possible if you would like to apply. Our Act
II Course is currently full but if you would like
to audition to be on the reserve list, please return your
application form as soon as possible. (Click

form). The provisional date for our next auditions is
Wednesday 1st September.
As part of the University of Glamorgan, we are sometimes able to
offer a small number of means-tested bursaries to help with fees.
In some cases, this could be worth up to 100% of the full fee.
