Simon Trinder

In his final year at RWCMD, Simon won the prestigious BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award and became a member of the BBC Radio Drama Company. He has appeared in over 60 plays for BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service.

Simon’s varied theatre career has included a three year contract with the Royal Shakespeare Company during which time he performed in twelve productions in Stratford Upon Avon, America, Madrid and the West End. During this time, he won the Clarence Derwent Award for his role as Biondello in The Taming of The Shrew. In 2007 Simon was one of 30 actors asked to perform a speech to mark the temporary closure of The Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon. In his company were Sir Ian McKellan, Dame Judi Dench, Patrick Stewart, Sir Anthony Sher and David Warner.
