RWCMD Student in Young Musician
of Year Semi-final
For the 3rd year running, a brass student from the
Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama has been selected for the
Radio 2
Young Brass Musician of the Year semi-final.
Second year euphonium student James McLeod will perform at the
Semi Final on 22 January at BBC Manchester. This performance will
be broadcast on 3/2/11 at 9.30 pm on Radio 2
The four selected finalists will go on to the Grand Final at the
Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester on 19 February.
RWCMD Trombone student Stephen Sykes won the Young Brass
Musician of the Year in 2009.
